NATURAL SPACES IN ARAGON : GALACHOS DEL EBRO
The river Ebro's galachos are meanders abandoned after a change in the course of the river or after floods. They have clear waters and an interesting water fauna and flora as well as riverside woods.
JUSLIBOL :
This is an old meander at the foot of Juslibol escarpments that was flooded in 1961. The following extraction of gravel created other lakes around it. The waters, the banks and the rocky areas form three ecosystems full of life. It is a passing area for migratory birds. There are birds of prey as well.
NATURAL RESERVE OF THE GALACHOS OF LA ALFRANCA, PASTRIZ, LA CARTUJA AND EL BURGO DE EBRO :
This is the best preserved: 1700 metres long and 150 metres wide, 6 ha. of water and 15 ha. of plants in a humid environment. 200 species of birds, with the presence of herons and small mammals, among them, the otter.
