NATURAL SPACES IN ARAGON : SIERRA DE JAVALAMBRE
It is a high massif, with the highest peak in Teruel and second highest in the Iberian range, the peak of Javalambre (2020 metres). It is a compact massif, with no important projections in its outline.
Next to Manzanera, we find outstanding spots such as the Gavilán fountain, the river Paraíso, the defile of the fountains (el barranco de las fuentes) or the chasm of El Paul. In Arcos de las Salinas, now abandoned, we find los Amanaderos del Javalambre, the fountain of Risca, the natural pools, the sources of the river next to Cerro Cavero (1984 metres) or La Horneta.
There are big woods of pine trees and flora of high scientific interest. Birds of prey and trouts in the rivers.
