NATURAL SPACES IN ARAGON : LA MANCOMUNIDAD DE LOS VALLES (THE VALLEYS ASSOCIATION)
The Pyrenean western valleys receive the humid influence of the Atlantic Ocean, forming magnificent wooded areas and originating an enormously rich fauna. This is a National Hunting Reserve.
ANSÓ VALLEY. It is formed by the river Veral. There is an impressive gorge in FOZ DE BINIÉS. In the higher areas we find forests of beech trees, fir and pine trees, and pastures. There are bears, wild boars, sarrios (Pyrenean mountain goats) and roe deer. ZURIZA: Campsite (2nd category). PEÑA EZCAURRE (2000 m.). LINZA: The sources of the river Veral. Vast meadows. FOZ DEL RÍO MAJONES (Gorge of the river Majones): in Fago, near AnsÓ.
ECHO VALLEY : It follows the course of the river Aragón Subordán, narrowing in the BOCA DEL INFIERNO (The Mouth of Hell), a canyon bored in the rock by the river.
SELVA DE OZA: Camping (1st category), forests of beech, pine, fir and other species. Bears, capercaillies, sarrios, squirrels, big birds of prey and trouts. The valley culminates in GUARRINZA, GABARDITO and the meanders of AGUAS TUERTAS. Ibones(glacial lakes) of Acherito and Estanés. Peaks: Peña Forca (2390 m.) and Agüerri (2450 m.).
From Echo valley you get to the valley of ARAGÜÉS DEL PUERTO, culminating in Bisaurín Peak (2668 m.).
